OX2 is committed to delivering long-term benefits to the communities in which our projects are located. We look forward to collaborating with the community and the Shire of Dandaragan to design a benefit program that drives positive economic and social outcomes while providing lasting value.

Investing in a Stronger Community

Through its sponsorship program, the project is supporting initiatives that deliver lasting benefits for the Badgingarra community.

Funding has helped improve mobile connectivity at Badgingarra Primary School, enhance power reliability at the Badgingarra Community Centre, and support a new coolroom to strengthen the centre's ability to host community events and activities.

The project is also proud to sponsor Yued Aboriginal Corporation's 2026 NAIDOC Week celebrations, supporting opportunities for cultural connection, learning and community pride.

We are delighted to sponsor the Badgingarra Tennis Club’s four-week coaching program, commencing on Friday 16 October 2026. Our team will be at the coaching session on 23 October and will be available to answer questions, share project updates, and connect with community members.

We are proud to support opportunities that promote active participation, strengthen community ties, and bring the wonderful Badgingarra community together.

These investments reflect the project's commitment to supporting locally identified priorities and creating positive, long-term outcomes for the community. As the project progresses, additional community benefit-sharing opportunities will become available through dedicated community benefit programs.

The Project will also provide the following long-term benefits:

Storing up to 4 - 8 hrs of electricity in a 100 MW Battery for dispatch when needed most.
Creating up to 70 direct jobs during construction and approximately 5 operational roles.
Enabling greater integration of renewable energy into the grid to help reduce market volatility.
Supporting Western Australia’s renewable energy and emission reduction targets.
Supporting the delivery of reliable energy in times of peak demand.
Community benefit program which will be developed in consultation with the community throughout the development phase of the project.

Scholarships

OX2 will explore opportunities to partner with regional TAFEs and Universities associated with our projects under development. The goal of this partnership is to establish scholarships that build the skills and knowledge needed for the renewables industry.

These scholarships could support a broad range of study options, including university degrees, vocational training, and short courses.

Student Technology Access Program

OX2 has established a Student Technology Access Program to repurpose company laptops no longer in use. These devices will be refurbished and provided to students at local schools, helping bridge the digital divide for those who may not otherwise have access to essential technology.
