The session was hosted by the OX2 project team at the Badgingarra Community Centre on Wednesday 25 March.
OX2 thanks everyone who attended, shared information and asked questions. Community feedback continues to play an important role in shaping the Dinner Hill Wind Farm and Harvest BESS Projects as they progress.
A special thank you to Badgi Bush Honey and Badgi Roadhouse, the locally sourced honey and delicious catering were a big hit with all who attended.
Community members were keen to hear about recent refinements to the project following earlier engagement, particularly the reduction in the number of turbines and the relocation of some infrastructure. There was strong interest in understanding the project timeline, including planning and approval stages, construction, and when the wind farm is expected to begin operating.
Other frequently discussed topics included:
Neighbours were also particularly interested in the Neighbour Benefit Program and were keen to learn about eligibility and anticipated process.
A valuable part of the event was hearing directly from local landholders with an operating wind farm, who shared their lived experience as host landholders living alongside a wind energy project.
